Program Details
Location: Mercer University’s Atlanta campus
Enrollment term: Fall semester
Length of program: 8 semesters
Practical Application: Students engage in hands-on learning from the first semester. The curriculum blends foundational science with applied physical therapy practice, offering a dynamic combination of classroom instruction and real-world experience.
The Program includes three semesters of service-learning, two semesters of integrated clinical experiences, and three semesters of full-time clinical education. Full-time clinical rotations occur in the final year of the Program and take place in a residential facility, an outpatient setting, and a specialty area. While most placements are located in Georgia, national partnerships may offer additional opportunities across the country.
Through every stage of the Program, students strengthen clinical skills, build professional confidence, and gain the knowledge and experience needed to help patients move better, recover faster, and live healthier lives. All rotations and service-learning experiences are assigned by the Mercer University Department of Physical Therapy Program.
